False are the eyes which gaze upon the beauty of another's wife. imiQAw rsnw Bojn An sÍwd ] (269-1)mithi-aa rasnaa bhojan an savaad. False is the tongue which enjoys delicacies and external tastes. imiQAw crn pr ibkwr kau Dwvih ] (269-1)mithi-aa charan par bikaar ka-o Dhaaveh. False are the feet which run to do evil to others. imiQAw mn pr loB luBwvih ] (269-2)mithi-aa man par lobh lubhaaveh. False is the mind which covets the wealth of others. imiQAw qn nhI praupkwrw ] (269-2)mithi-aa tan nahee par-upkaaraa. False is the body which does not do good to others. imiQAw bwsu lyq ibkwrw ] (269-2)mithi-aa baas layt bikaaraa. False is the nose which inhales corruption. ibnu bUJy imiQAw sB Bey ] (269-3)bin boojhay mithi-aa sabh bha-ay. From his mouth, a foul smell issues forth. ibnu ismrn idnu rYin ibRQw ibhwie ] (269-5)bin simran din rain baritha bihaa-ay. Without the remembrance of the Lord, day and night pass in vain, myG ibnw ijau KyqI jwie ] (269-5)maygh binaa ji-o khaytee jaa-ay. like the crop which withers without rain. goibd Bjn ibnu ibRQy sB kwm ] (269-5)gobid bhajan bin barithay sabh kaam. Without meditation on the Lord of the Universe, all works are in vain, ijau ikrpn ky inrwrQ dwm ] (269-6)ji-o kirpan kay niraarath daam. like the wealth of a miser, which lies useless. The Omniscient Lord God is the Knower of all. bwhir ByK n kwhU BIn ] (269-8)baahar bhaykh na kaahoo bheen. He is not impressed by outward display. One who does not practice what he preaches to others, Awvq jwvq jnmY mrY ] (269-8)aavat jaavat janmai marai. shall come and go in reincarnation, through birth and death. ijs kY AMqir bsY inrMkwru ] (269-9)jis kai antar basai nirankaar. Offer your prayers to the Supreme Lord God, who knows everything. Apnw kIAw Awpih mwnY ] (269-10)apnaa kee-aa aapeh maanai. He Himself values His own creatures. Awpih Awp Awip krq inbyrw ] (269-10)aapeh aap aap karat nibayraa. He Himself, by Himself, makes the decisions. iksY dUir jnwvq iksY buJwvq nyrw ] (269-11)kisai door janaavat kisai bujhaavat nayraa. To some, He appears far away, while others perceive Him near at hand. aupwv isAwnp sgl qy rhq ] (269-11)upaav si-aanap sagal tay rahat. He is beyond all efforts and clever tricks. sBu kCu jwnY Awqm kI rhq ] (269-12)sabh kachh jaanai aatam kee rahat. He knows all the ways and means of the soul. ijsu BwvY iqsu ley liV lwie ] (269-12)jis bhaavai tis la-ay larh laa-ay. Those with whom He is pleased are attached to the hem of His robe. Qwn Qnµqir rihAw smwie ] (269-12)thaan thanantar rahi-aa samaa-ay. He is pervading all places and interspaces. so syvku ijsu ikrpw krI ] (269-12)so sayvak jis kirpaa karee. By His Grace, you dwell in the palace of peace; iqsih iDAwie sdw mn AMdir ] (269-16)tiseh Dhi-aa-ay sadaa man andar. meditate forever on Him within your mind. ijh pRswid igRh sMig suK bsnw ] (269-16)jih parsaad garih sang sukh basnaa. By His Grace, you abide with your family in peace; AwT phr ismrhu iqsu rsnw ] (269-17)aath pahar simrahu tis rasnaa. keep His remembrance upon your tongue, twenty-four hours a day. ijh pRswid rMg rs Bog ] (269-17)jih parsaad rang ras bhog.
