siqguru syvI sbid suhwieAw ] (115-1)
satgur sayvee sabad suhaa-i-aa.
I serve the True Guru; the Word of His Shabad is beautiful.

ijin hir kw nwmu mMin vswieAw ] (115-1)
jin har kaa naam man vasaa-i-aa.
Through it, the Name of the Lord comes to dwell within the mind.

hir inrmlu haumY mYlu gvwey dir scY soBw pwvixAw ]2] (115-1)
har nirmal ha-umai mail gavaa-ay dar sachai sobhaa paavni-aa. ||2||
The Pure Lord removes the filth of egotism, and we are honored in the True Court. ||2||

ibnu gur nwmu n pwieAw jwie ] (115-2)
bin gur naam na paa-i-aa jaa-ay.
Without the Guru, the Naam cannot be obtained.

isD swiDk rhy ibllwie ] (115-2)
siDh saaDhik rahay billaa-ay.
The Siddhas and the seekers lack it; they weep and wail.

ibnu gur syvy suKu n hovI pUrY Bwig guru pwvixAw ]3] (115-2)
bin gur sayvay sukh na hovee poorai bhaag gur paavni-aa. ||3||
Without serving the True Guru, peace is not obtained; through perfect destiny, the Guru is found. ||3||

iehu mnu AwrsI koeI gurmuiK vyKY ] (115-3)
ih man aarsee ko-ee gurmukh vaykhai.
This mind is a mirror; how rare are those who, as Gurmukh, see themselves in it.

morcw n lwgY jw haumY soKY ] (115-3)
morchaa na laagai jaa ha-umai sokhai.
Rust does not stick to those who burn their ego.

Anhq bwxI inrml sbdu vjwey gur sbdI sic smwvixAw ]4] (115-4)
anhat banee nirmal sabad vajaa-ay gur sabdee sach samaavani-aa. ||4||
The Unstruck Melody of the Bani resounds through the Pure Word of the Shabad; through the Word of the Guru's Shabad, we are absorbed into the True One. ||4||

ibnu siqgur ikhu n dyiKAw jwie ] (115-4)
bin satgur kihu na daykhi-aa jaa-ay.
Without the True Guru, the Lord cannot be seen.

guir ikrpw kir Awpu idqw idKwie ] (115-5)
gur kirpaa kar aap ditaa dikhaa-ay.
Granting His Grace, He Himself has allowed me to see Him.

Awpy Awip Awip imil rihAw shjy shij smwvixAw ]5] (115-5)
aapay aap aap mil rahi-aa sehjay sahj samaavani-aa. ||5||
All by Himself, He Himself is permeating and pervading; He is intuitively absorbed in celestial peace. ||5||

gurmuiK hovY su ieksu isau ilv lwey ] (115-6)
gurmukh hovai so ikas si-o liv laa-ay.
One who becomes Gurmukh embraces love for the One.

dUjw Brmu gur sbid jlwey ] (115-6)
doojaa bharam gur sabad jalaa-ay.
Doubt and duality are burned away by the Word of the Guru's Shabad.

kwieAw AMdir vxju kry vwpwrw nwmu inDwnu scu pwvixAw ]6] (115-7)
kaa-i-aa andar vanaj karay vaapaaraa naam niDhaan sach paavni-aa. ||6||
Within his body, he deals and trades, and obtains the Treasure of the True Name. ||6||

gurmuiK krxI hir kIriq swru ] (115-7)
gurmukh karnee har keerat saar.
The life-style of the Gurmukh is sublime; he sings the Praises of the Lord.

gurmuiK pwey moK duAwru ] (115-8)
gurmukh paa-ay mokh du-aar.
The Gurmukh finds the gate of salvation.

Anidnu rMig rqw gux gwvY AMdir mhil bulwvixAw ]7] (115-8)
an-din rang rataa gun gaavai andar mahal bulaavani-aa. ||7||
Night and day, he is imbued with the Lord's Love. He sings the Lord's Glorious Praises, and he is called to the Mansion of His Presence. ||7||

siqguru dwqw imlY imlwieAw ] (115-9)
satgur daataa milai milaa-i-aa.
The True Guru, the Giver, is met when the Lord leads us to meet Him.

pUrY Bwig min sbdu vswieAw ] (115-9)
poorai bhaag man sabad vasaa-i-aa.
Through perfect destiny, the Shabad is enshrined in the mind.

nwnk nwmu imlY vifAweI hir scy ky gux gwvixAw ]8]9]10] (115-9)
naanak naam milai vadi-aa-ee har sachay kay gun gaavani-aa. ||8||9||10||
O Nanak, the greatness of the Naam, the Name of the Lord, is obtained by chanting the Glorious Praises of the True Lord. ||8||9||10||

Maajh, Third Mehl:

Awpu vM\wey qw sB ikCu pwey ] (115-10)
aap vanjaa-ay taa sabh kichh paa-ay.
Those who lose their own selves obtain everything.

gur sbdI scI ilv lwey ] (115-11)
gur sabdee sachee liv laa-ay.
Through the Word of the Guru's Shabad, they enshrine Love for the True one.

scu vxMjih scu sMGrih scu vwpwru krwvixAw ]1] (115-11)
sach vanaNjahi sach sanghrahi sach vaapaar karaavani-aa. ||1||
They trade in Truth, they gather in Truth, and they deal only in Truth. ||1||

hau vwrI jIau vwrI hir gux Anidnu gwvixAw ] (115-11)
ha-o vaaree jee-o vaaree har gun an-din gaavani-aa.
I am a sacrifice, my soul is a sacrifice, to those who sing the Glorious Praises of the Lord, night and day.

hau qyrw qUM Twkuru myrw sbid vifAweI dyvixAw ]1] rhwau ] (115-12)
ha-o tayraa tooN thaakur mayraa sabad vadi-aa-ee dayvani-aa. ||1|| rahaa-o.
I am Yours, You are my Lord and Master. You bestow greatness through the Word of Your Shabad. ||1||Pause||

vylw vKq siB suhwieAw ] (115-13)
vaylaa vakhat sabh suhaa-i-aa.
That time, that moment is totally beautiful,

ijqu scw myry min BwieAw ] (115-13)
jit sachaa mayray man bhaa-i-aa.
when the True One becomes pleasing to my mind.

scy syivAY scu vifAweI gur ikrpw qy scu pwvixAw ]2] (115-13)
sachay sayvi-ai sach vadi-aa-ee gur kirpaa tay sach paavni-aa. ||2||
Serving the True One, true greatness is obtained. By Guru's Grace, the True One is obtained. ||2||

Bwau Bojnu siqguir quTY pwey ] (115-14)
bhaa-o bhojan satgur tuthai paa-ay.
The food of spiritual love is obtained when the True Guru is pleased.

An rsu cUkY hir rsu mMin vswey ] (115-14)
an ras chookai har ras man vasaa-ay.
Other essences are forgotten, when the Lord's Essence comes to dwell in the mind.

scu sMqoKu shj suKu bwxI pUry gur qy pwvixAw ]3] (115-15)
sach santokh sahj sukh banee pooray gur tay paavni-aa. ||3||
Truth, contentment and intuitive peace and poise are obtained from the Bani, the Word of the Perfect Guru. ||3||

siqguru n syvih mUrK AMD gvwrw ] (115-15)
satgur na sayveh moorakh anDh gavaaraa.
The blind and ignorant fools do not serve the True Guru;

iPir Eie ikQhu pwiein moK duAwrw ] (115-16)
fir o-ay kithhu paa-in mokh du-aaraa.
how will they find the gate of salvation?

mir mir jMmih iPir iPir Awvih jm dir cotw KwvixAw ]4] (115-16)
mar mar jameh fir fir aavahi jam dar chotaa khaavani-aa. ||4||
They die and die, over and over again, only to be reborn, over and over again. They are struck down at Death's Door. ||4||

sbdY swdu jwxih qw Awpu pCwxih ] (115-17)
sabdai saad jaaneh taa aap pachhaaneh.
Those who know the essence of the Shabad, understand their own selves.

inrml bwxI sbid vKwxih ] (115-17)
nirmal banee sabad vakaaneh.
Immaculate is the speech of those who chant the Word of the Shabad.

scy syiv sdw suKu pwiein nau iniD nwmu mMin vswvixAw ]5] (115-17)
sachay sayv sadaa sukh paa-in na-o niDh naam man vasaavani-aa. ||5||
Serving the True One, they find a lasting peace; they enshrine the nine treasures of the Naam within their minds. ||5||

so Qwnu suhwieAw jo hir min BwieAw ] (115-18)
so thaan suhaa-i-aa jo har man bhaa-i-aa.
Beautiful is that place, which is pleasing to the Lord's Mind.

sqsMgiq bih hir gux gwieAw ] (115-19)
satsangat bahi har gun gaa-i-aa.
There, sitting in the Sat Sangat, the True Congregation, the Glorious Praises of the Lord are sung.

Anidnu hir swlwhih swcw inrml nwdu vjwvixAw ]6] (115-19)
an-din har saalaahahi saachaa nirmal naad vajaavani-aa. ||6||
Night and day, the True One is praised; the Immaculate Sound-current of the Naad resounds there. ||6||
