ਸਿਮਰਹਿ ਪਾਤਾਲ ਪੁਰੀਆ ਸਚੁ ਸੋਆ ॥

Simrahi paaṫaal puree▫aa sach so▫aa.

The nether worlds and spheres meditate in remembrance of that True Lord.

ਸਿਮਰਹਿ ਖਾਣੀ ਸਿਮਰਹਿ ਬਾਣੀ ਸਿਮਰਹਿ ਸਗਲੇ ਹਰਿ ਜਨਾ ॥੨॥

Simrahi kʱaaṇee simrahi baṇee simrahi saglé har janaa. ||2||

The sources of creation and speech meditate in remembrance; all the Lord’s humble servants meditate in remembrance. ||2||

ਸਿਮਰਹਿ ਬ੍ਰਹਮੇ ਬਿਸਨ ਮਹੇਸਾ ॥

Simrahi barahmé bisan mahésaa.

Brahma, Vishnu and Shiva meditate in remembrance.

ਸਿਮਰਹਿ ਦੇਵਤੇ ਕੋੜਿ ਤੇਤੀਸਾ ॥

Simrahi ḋévṫé koṛ ṫéṫeesaa.

The three hundred thirty million gods meditate in remembrance.

ਸਿਮਰਹਿ ਜਖੵਿ ਦੈਤ ਸਭਿ ਸਿਮਰਹਿ ਅਗਨਤੁ ਨ ਜਾਈ ਜਸੁ ਗਨਾ ॥੩॥

Simrahi jakʱ▫y ḋæṫ sabʱ simrahi agnaṫ na jaa▫ee jas ganaa. ||3||

The titans and demons all meditate in remembrance; Your Praises are uncountable - they cannot be counted. ||3||

ਸਿਮਰਹਿ ਪਸੁ ਪੰਖੀ ਸਭਿ ਭੂਤਾ ॥

Simrahi pas pankʱee sabʱ bʱooṫaa.

All the beasts, birds and demons meditate in remembrance.

ਸਿਮਰਹਿ ਬਨ ਪਰਬਤ ਅਉਧੂਤਾ ॥

Simrahi ban parbaṫ a▫uḋʱooṫaa.

The forests, mountains and hermits meditate in remembrance.

ਲਤਾ ਬਲੀ ਸਾਖ ਸਭ ਸਿਮਰਹਿ ਰਵਿ ਰਹਿਆ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਸਭ ਮਨਾ ॥੪॥

Laṫaa balee saakʱ sabʱ simrahi rav rahi▫aa su▫aamee sabʱ manaa. ||4||

All the vines and branches meditate in remembrance; O my Lord and Master, You are permeating and pervading all minds. ||4||

ਸਿਮਰਹਿ ਥੂਲ ਸੂਖਮ ਸਭਿ ਜੰਤਾ ॥

Simrahi ṫʱool sookʱam sabʱ janṫaa.

All beings, both subtle and gross, meditate in remembrance.

ਸਿਮਰਹਿ ਸਿਧ ਸਾਧਿਕ ਹਰਿ ਮੰਤਾ ॥

Simrahi siḋʱ saaḋʱik har mannṫaa.

The Siddhas and seekers meditate in remembrance of the Lord’s Mantra.

ਗੁਪਤ ਪ੍ਰਗਟ ਸਿਮਰਹਿ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਮੇਰੇ ਸਗਲ ਭਵਨ ਕਾ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਧਨਾ ॥੫॥

Gupaṫ pargat simrahi parabʱ méré sagal bʱavan kaa parabʱ ḋʱanaa. ||5||

Both the visible and the invisible meditate in remembrance of my God; God is the Master of all worlds. ||5||

ਸਿਮਰਹਿ ਨਰ ਨਾਰੀ ਆਸਰਮਾ ॥

Simrahi nar naaree aasramaa.

Men and women, throughout the four stages of life, meditate in remembrance of You.

ਸਿਮਰਹਿ ਜਾਤਿ ਜੋਤਿ ਸਭਿ ਵਰਨਾ ॥

Simrahi jaaṫ joṫ sabʱ varnaa.

All social classes and souls of all races meditate in remembrance of You.

ਸਿਮਰਹਿ ਗੁਣੀ ਚਤੁਰ ਸਭਿ ਬੇਤੇ ਸਿਮਰਹਿ ਰੈਣੀ ਅਰੁ ਦਿਨਾ ॥੬॥

Simrahi guṇee chaṫur sabʱ béṫé simrahi ræṇee ar ḋinaa. ||6||

All the virtuous, clever and wise people meditate in remembrance; night and day meditate in remembrance. ||6||

ਸਿਮਰਹਿ ਘੜੀ ਮੂਰਤ ਪਲ ਨਿਮਖਾ ॥

Simrahi gʱaṛee mooraṫ pal nimkʱaa.

Hours, minutes and seconds meditate in remembrance.

ਸਿਮਰੈ ਕਾਲੁ ਅਕਾਲੁ ਸੁਚਿ ਸੋਚਾ ॥

Simræ kaal akaal such sochaa.

Death and life, and thoughts of purification, meditate in remembrance.

ਸਿਮਰਹਿ ਸਉਣ ਸਾਸਤ੍ਰ ਸੰਜੋਗਾ ਅਲਖੁ ਨ ਲਖੀਐ ਇਕੁ ਖਿਨਾ ॥੭॥

Simrahi sa▫uṇ saasṫar sanjogaa alakʱ na lakʱee▫æ ik kʱinaa. ||7||

The Shastras, with their lucky signs and joinings, meditate in remembrance; the invisible cannot be seen, even for an instant. ||7||

ਕਰਨ ਕਰਾਵਨਹਾਰ ਸੁਆਮੀ ॥

Karan karaavanhaar su▫aamee.

The Lord and Master is the Doer, the Cause of all causes.

ਸਗਲ ਘਟਾ ਕੇ ਅੰਤਰਜਾਮੀ ॥

Sagal gʱataa ké anṫarjaamee.

He is the Inner-knower, the Searcher of all hearts.

ਕਰਿ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਜਿਸੁ ਭਗਤੀ ਲਾਵਹੁ ਜਨਮੁ ਪਦਾਰਥੁ ਸੋ ਜਿਨਾ ॥੮॥

Kar kirpaa jis bʱagṫee laavhu janam paḋaaraṫʱ so jinaa. ||8||

That person, whom You bless with Your Grace, and link to Your devotional service, wins this invaluable human life. ||8||

ਜਾ ਕੈ ਮਨਿ ਵੂਠਾ ਪ੍ਰਭੁ ਅਪਨਾ ॥

Jaa kæ man vootʱaa parabʱ apnaa.

He, within whose mind God dwells,

ਪੂਰੈ ਕਰਮਿ ਗੁਰ ਕਾ ਜਪੁ ਜਪਨਾ ॥

Pooræ karam gur kaa jap japnaa.

has perfect karma, and chants the Chant of the Guru.

ਸਰਬ ਨਿਰੰਤਰਿ ਸੋ ਪ੍ਰਭੁ ਜਾਤਾ ਬਹੁੜਿ ਨ ਜੋਨੀ ਭਰਮਿ ਰੁਨਾ ॥੯॥

Sarab niranṫar so parabʱ jaaṫaa bahuṛ na jonee bʱaram runaa. ||9||

One who realizes God pervading deep within all, does not wander crying in reincarnation again. ||9||

ਗੁਰ ਕਾ ਸਬਦੁ ਵਸੈ ਮਨਿ ਜਾ ਕੈ ॥

Gur kaa sabaḋ vasæ man jaa kæ.

Within whose mind the Word of the Guru’s Shabad abides,

ਦੂਖੁ ਦਰਦੁ ਭ੍ਰਮੁ ਤਾ ਕਾ ਭਾਗੈ ॥

Ḋookʱ ḋaraḋ bʱaram ṫaa kaa bʱaagæ.

his pain, sorrow and doubt run away from him.

ਸੂਖ ਸਹਜ ਆਨੰਦ ਨਾਮ ਰਸੁ ਅਨਹਦ ਬਾਣੀ ਸਹਜ ਧੁਨਾ ॥੧੦॥

Sookʱ sahj aananḋ naam ras anhaḋ baṇee sahj ḋʱunaa. ||10||

Intuitive peace, poise and bliss come from the sublime essence of the Naam; the unstruck sound current of the Guru’s Bani intuitively vibrates and resounds. ||10||

ਸੋ ਧਨਵੰਤਾ ਜਿਨਿ ਪ੍ਰਭੁ ਧਿਆਇਆ ॥

So ḋʱanvanṫaa jin parabʱ ḋʱi▫aa▫i▫aa.

He alone is wealthy, who meditates on God.

ਸੋ ਪਤਿਵੰਤਾ ਜਿਨਿ ਸਾਧਸੰਗੁ ਪਾਇਆ ॥

So paṫivanṫaa jin saaḋʱsang paa▫i▫aa.

He alone is honorable, who joins the Saadh Sangat, the Company of the Holy.

ਪਾਰਬ੍ਰਹਮੁ ਜਾ ਕੈ ਮਨਿ ਵੂਠਾ ਸੋ ਪੂਰ ਕਰੰਮਾ ਨਾ ਛਿਨਾ ॥੧੧॥

Paarbarahm jaa kæ man vootʱaa so poor karammaa naa chʱinaa. ||11||

That person, within whose mind the Supreme Lord God abides, has perfect karma, and becomes famous. ||11||

ਜਲਿ ਥਲਿ ਮਹੀਅਲਿ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਸੋਈ ॥

Jal ṫʱal mahee▫al su▫aamee so▫ee.

The Lord and Master is pervading the water, land and sky.

ਅਵਰੁ ਨ ਕਹੀਐ ਦੂਜਾ ਕੋਈ ॥

Avar na kahee▫æ ḋoojaa ko▫ee.

No other is said to be so.

ਗੁਰ ਗਿਆਨ ਅੰਜਨਿ ਕਾਟਿਓ ਭ੍ਰਮੁ ਸਗਲਾ ਅਵਰੁ ਨ ਦੀਸੈ ਏਕ ਬਿਨਾ ॥੧੨॥

Gur gi▫aan anjan kaati▫o bʱaram saglaa avar na ḋeesæ ék binaa. ||12||

The ointment of the Guru’s spiritual wisdom has eradicated all doubts; except the One Lord, I do not see any other at all. ||12||

ਊਚੇ ਤੇ ਊਚਾ ਦਰਬਾਰਾ ॥

Ūché ṫé oochaa ḋarbaaraa.

The Lord’s Court is the highest of the high.

ਕਹਣੁ ਨ ਜਾਈ ਅੰਤੁ ਨ ਪਾਰਾ ॥

Kahaṇ na jaa▫ee anṫ na paaraa.

His limit and extent cannot be described.

ਗਹਿਰ ਗੰਭੀਰ ਅਥਾਹ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਅਤੁਲੁ ਨ ਜਾਈ ਕਿਆ ਮਿਨਾ ॥੧੩॥

Gahir gambʱeer aṫʱaah su▫aamee aṫul na jaa▫ee ki▫aa minaa. ||13||

The Lord and Master is profoundly deep, unfathomable and un-weighable; how can He be measured? ||13||

ਤੂ ਕਰਤਾ ਤੇਰਾ ਸਭੁ ਕੀਆ ॥

Ṫoo karṫaa ṫéraa sabʱ kee▫aa.

You are the Creator; all is created by You.

ਤੁਝੁ ਬਿਨੁ ਅਵਰੁ ਨ ਕੋਈ ਬੀਆ ॥

Ṫujʱ bin avar na ko▫ee bee▫aa.

Without You, there is no other at all.

ਆਦਿ ਮਧਿ ਅੰਤਿ ਪ੍ਰਭੁ ਤੂਹੈ ਸਗਲ ਪਸਾਰਾ ਤੁਮ ਤਨਾ ॥੧੪॥

Aaḋ maḋʱ anṫ parabʱ ṫoohæ sagal pasaaraa ṫum ṫanaa. ||14||

You alone, God, are in the beginning, the middle and the end. You are the root of the entire expanse. ||14||

ਜਮਦੂਤੁ ਤਿਸੁ ਨਿਕਟਿ ਨ ਆਵੈ ॥

Jamḋooṫ ṫis nikat na aavæ.

The Messenger of Death does not even approach that person

ਸਾਧਸੰਗਿ ਹਰਿ ਕੀਰਤਨੁ ਗਾਵੈ ॥

Saaḋʱsang har keerṫan gaavæ.

who sings the Kirtan of the Lord’s Praises in the Saadh Sangat, the Company of the Holy.

ਸਗਲ ਮਨੋਰਥ ਤਾ ਕੇ ਪੂਰਨ ਜੋ ਸ੍ਰਵਣੀ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਕਾ ਜਸੁ ਸੁਨਾ ॥੧੫॥

Sagal manoraṫʱ ṫaa ké pooran jo sarvaṇee parabʱ kaa jas sunaa. ||15||

All desires are fulfilled, for one who listens with his ears to the Praises of God. ||15||

ਤੂ ਸਭਨਾ ਕਾ ਸਭੁ ਕੋ ਤੇਰਾ ॥

Ṫoo sabʱnaa kaa sabʱ ko ṫéraa.

You belong to all, and all belong to You,

ਸਾਚੇ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਗਹਿਰ ਗੰਭੀਰਾ ॥

Saaché saahib gahir gambʱeeraa.

O my true, deep and profound Lord and Master.

ਕਹੁ ਨਾਨਕ ਸੇਈ ਜਨ ਊਤਮ ਜੋ ਭਾਵਹਿ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਤੁਮ ਮਨਾ ॥੧੬॥੧॥੮॥

Kaho Naanak sé▫ee jan ooṫam jo bʱaavėh su▫aamee ṫum manaa. ||16||1||8||

Says Nanak, those humble beings are exalted, who are pleasing to Your Mind, O my Lord and Master. ||16||1||8||
