ਸਚੁ ਤਪਾਵਸੁ ਸਚੇ ਕੇਰਾ ॥

Sach ṫapaavas saché kéraa.

True is the justice of the True Lord.

ਸਾਚਾ ਥਾਨੁ ਸਦਾ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਤੇਰਾ ॥

Saachaa ṫʱaan saḋaa parabʱ ṫéraa.

Your place is forever True, O God.

ਸਚੀ ਕੁਦਰਤਿ ਸਚੀ ਬਾਣੀ ਸਚੁ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਸੁਖੁ ਕੀਜਾ ਹੇ ॥੫॥

Sachee kuḋraṫ sachee baṇee sach saahib sukʱ keejaa hé. ||5||

True is Your Creative Power, and True is the Word of Your Bani. True is the peace which You give, O my Lord and Master. ||5||

ਏਕੋ ਆਪਿ ਤੂਹੈ ਵਡ ਰਾਜਾ ॥

Ėko aap ṫoohæ vad raajaa.

You alone are the greatest king.

ਹੁਕਮਿ ਸਚੇ ਕੈ ਪੂਰੇ ਕਾਜਾ ॥

Hukam saché kæ pooré kaajaa.

By the Hukam of Your Command, O True Lord, our affairs are fulfilled.

ਅੰਤਰਿ ਬਾਹਰਿ ਸਭੁ ਕਿਛੁ ਜਾਣੈ ਆਪੇ ਹੀ ਆਪਿ ਪਤੀਜਾ ਹੇ ॥੬॥

Anṫar baahar sabʱ kichʱ jaaṇæ aapé hee aap paṫeejaa hé. ||6||

Inwardly and outwardly, You know everything; You Yourself are pleased with Yourself. ||6||

ਤੂ ਵਡ ਰਸੀਆ ਤੂ ਵਡ ਭੋਗੀ ॥

Ŧoo vad rasee▫aa ṫoo vad bʱogee.

You are the great party-goer, You are the great enjoyer.

ਤੂ ਨਿਰਬਾਣੁ ਤੂਹੈ ਹੀ ਜੋਗੀ ॥

Ŧoo nirbaaṇ ṫoohæ hee jogee.

You are detached in Nirvana, You are the Yogi.

ਸਰਬ ਸੂਖ ਸਹਜ ਘਰਿ ਤੇਰੈ ਅਮਿਉ ਤੇਰੀ ਦ੍ਰਿਸਟੀਜਾ ਹੇ ॥੭॥

Sarab sookʱ sahj gʱar ṫéræ ami▫o ṫéree ḋaristeejaa hé. ||7||

All celestial comforts are in Your home; Your Glance of Grace rains Nectar. ||7||

ਤੇਰੀ ਦਾਤਿ ਤੁਝੈ ਤੇ ਹੋਵੈ ॥

Ŧéree ḋaaṫ ṫujʱæ ṫé hovæ.

You alone give Your gifts.

ਦੇਹਿ ਦਾਨੁ ਸਭਸੈ ਜੰਤ ਲੋਐ ॥

Ḏėh ḋaan sabʱsæ janṫ loæ.

You grant Your gifts unto all the beings of the world.

ਤੋਟਿ ਨ ਆਵੈ ਪੂਰ ਭੰਡਾਰੈ ਤ੍ਰਿਪਤਿ ਰਹੇ ਆਘੀਜਾ ਹੇ ॥੮॥

Ŧot na aavæ poor bʱandaaræ ṫaripaṫ rahé aagʱeejaa hé. ||8||

Your treasures are overflowing, and are never exhausted; through them, we remain satisfied and fulfilled. ||8||

ਜਾਚਹਿ ਸਿਧ ਸਾਧਿਕ ਬਨਵਾਸੀ ॥

Jaachėh siḋʱ saaḋʱik banvaasee.

The Siddhas, seekers and forest-dwellers beg from You.

ਜਾਚਹਿ ਜਤੀ ਸਤੀ ਸੁਖਵਾਸੀ ॥

Jaachėh jaṫee saṫee sukʱvaasee.

The celibates and abstainers, and those who abide in peace beg from You.

ਇਕੁ ਦਾਤਾਰੁ ਸਗਲ ਹੈ ਜਾਚਿਕ ਦੇਹਿ ਦਾਨੁ ਸ੍ਰਿਸਟੀਜਾ ਹੇ ॥੯॥

Ik ḋaaṫaar sagal hæ jaachik ḋėh ḋaan saristeejaa hé. ||9||

You alone are the Great Giver; all are beggars of You. You bless all the world with Your gifts. ||9||

ਕਰਹਿ ਭਗਤਿ ਅਰੁ ਰੰਗ ਅਪਾਰਾ ॥

Karahi bʱagaṫ ar rang apaaraa.

Your devotees worship You with infinite love.

ਖਿਨ ਮਹਿ ਥਾਪਿ ਉਥਾਪਨਹਾਰਾ ॥

Kʱin mėh ṫʱaap uṫʱaapanhaaraa.

In an instant, You establish and disestablish.

ਭਾਰੋ ਤੋਲੁ ਬੇਅੰਤ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਹੁਕਮੁ ਮੰਨਿ ਭਗਤੀਜਾ ਹੇ ॥੧੦॥

Bʱaaro ṫol bé▫anṫ su▫aamee hukam man bʱagṫeejaa hé. ||10||

Your weight is so heavy, O my infinite Lord and Master. Your devotees surrender to the Hukam of Your Command. ||10||

ਜਿਸੁ ਦੇਹਿ ਦਰਸੁ ਸੋਈ ਤੁਧੁ ਜਾਣੈ ॥

Jis ḋėh ḋaras so▫ee ṫuḋʱ jaaṇæ.

They alone know You, whom You bless with Your Glance of Grace.

ਓਹੁ ਗੁਰ ਕੈ ਸਬਦਿ ਸਦਾ ਰੰਗ ਮਾਣੈ ॥

Oh gur kæ sabaḋ saḋaa rang maaṇæ.

Through the Word of the Guru’s Shabad, they enjoy Your Love forever.

ਚਤੁਰੁ ਸਰੂਪੁ ਸਿਆਣਾ ਸੋਈ ਜੋ ਮਨਿ ਤੇਰੈ ਭਾਵੀਜਾ ਹੇ ॥੧੧॥

Chaṫur saroop si▫aaṇaa so▫ee jo man ṫéræ bʱaaveejaa hé. ||11||

They alone are clever, handsome and wise, who are pleasing to Your Mind. ||11||

ਜਿਸੁ ਚੀਤਿ ਆਵਹਿ ਸੋ ਵੇਪਰਵਾਹਾ ॥

Jis cheeṫ aavahi so véparvaahaa.

One who keeps You in his consciousness, becomes carefree and independent.

ਜਿਸੁ ਚੀਤਿ ਆਵਹਿ ਸੋ ਸਾਚਾ ਸਾਹਾ ॥

Jis cheeṫ aavahi so saachaa saahaa.

One who keeps You in his consciousness, is the true king.

ਜਿਸੁ ਚੀਤਿ ਆਵਹਿ ਤਿਸੁ ਭਉ ਕੇਹਾ ਅਵਰੁ ਕਹਾ ਕਿਛੁ ਕੀਜਾ ਹੇ ॥੧੨॥

Jis cheeṫ aavahi ṫis bʱa▫o kéhaa avar kahaa kichʱ keejaa hé. ||12||

One who keeps You in his consciousness - what does he have to fear? And what else does he need to do? ||12||

ਤ੍ਰਿਸਨਾ ਬੂਝੀ ਅੰਤਰੁ ਠੰਢਾ ॥

Ŧarisnaa boojʱee anṫar tʱandʱaa.

Thirst and desire are quenched, and one’s inner being is cooled and soothed.

ਗੁਰਿ ਪੂਰੈ ਲੈ ਤੂਟਾ ਗੰਢਾ ॥

Gur pooræ læ ṫootaa gandʱaa.

The True Guru has mended the broken one.

ਸੁਰਤਿ ਸਬਦੁ ਰਿਦ ਅੰਤਰਿ ਜਾਗੀ ਅਮਿਉ ਝੋਲਿ ਝੋਲਿ ਪੀਜਾ ਹੇ ॥੧੩॥

Suraṫ sabaḋ riḋ anṫar jaagee ami▫o jʱol jʱol peejaa hé. ||13||

Awareness of the Word of the Shabad has awakened within my heart. Shaking it and vibrating it, I drink the Ambrosial Nectar. ||13||

ਮਰੈ ਨਾਹੀ ਸਦ ਸਦ ਹੀ ਜੀਵੈ ॥

Maræ naahee saḋ saḋ hee jeevæ.

I shall not die; I shall live forever and ever.

ਅਮਰੁ ਭਇਆ ਅਬਿਨਾਸੀ ਥੀਵੈ ॥

Amar bʱa▫i▫aa abʱinaasee ṫʱeevæ.

I have become immortal; I am eternal and imperishable.

ਨਾ ਕੋ ਆਵੈ ਨਾ ਕੋ ਜਾਵੈ ਗੁਰਿ ਦੂਰਿ ਕੀਆ ਭਰਮੀਜਾ ਹੇ ॥੧੪॥

Naa ko aavæ naa ko jaavæ gur ḋoor kee▫aa bʱarmeejaa hé. ||14||

I do not come, and I do not go. The Guru has driven out my doubts. ||14||

ਪੂਰੇ ਗੁਰ ਕੀ ਪੂਰੀ ਬਾਣੀ ॥

Pooré gur kee pooree baṇee.

Perfect is the Word of the Perfect Guru.

ਪੂਰੈ ਲਾਗਾ ਪੂਰੇ ਮਾਹਿ ਸਮਾਣੀ ॥

Pooræ laagaa pooré maahi samaaṇee.

One who is attached to the Perfect Lord, is immersed in the Perfect Lord.

ਚੜੈ ਸਵਾਇਆ ਨਿਤ ਨਿਤ ਰੰਗਾ ਘਟੈ ਨਾਹੀ ਤੋਲੀਜਾ ਹੇ ॥੧੫॥

Chaṛæ savaa▫i▫aa niṫ niṫ rangaa gʱatæ naahee ṫoleejaa hé. ||15||

His love increases day by day, and when it is weighed, it does not decrease. ||15||

ਬਾਰਹਾ ਕੰਚਨੁ ਸੁਧੁ ਕਰਾਇਆ ॥

Baar▫haa kanchan suḋʱ karaa▫i▫aa.

When the gold is made one hundred percent pure,

ਨਦਰਿ ਸਰਾਫ ਵੰਨੀ ਸਚੜਾਇਆ ॥

Naḋar saraaf vannee sachṛaa▫i▫aa.

its color is true to the jeweler’s eye.

ਪਰਖਿ ਖਜਾਨੈ ਪਾਇਆ ਸਰਾਫੀ ਫਿਰਿ ਨਾਹੀ ਤਾਈਜਾ ਹੇ ॥੧੬॥

Parakʱ kʱajaanæ paa▫i▫aa saraafee fir naahee ṫaa▫eejaa hé. ||16||

Assaying it, it is placed in the treasury by God the Jeweler, and it is not melted down again. ||16||

ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤ ਨਾਮੁ ਤੁਮਾਰਾ ਸੁਆਮੀ ॥

Amriṫ naam ṫumaaraa su▫aamee.

Your Naam is Ambrosial Nectar, O my Lord and Master.

ਨਾਨਕ ਦਾਸ ਸਦਾ ਕੁਰਬਾਨੀ ॥

Naanak ḋaas saḋaa kurbaanee.

Nanak, Your slave, is forever a sacrifice to You.

ਸੰਤਸੰਗਿ ਮਹਾ ਸੁਖੁ ਪਾਇਆ ਦੇਖਿ ਦਰਸਨੁ ਇਹੁ ਮਨੁ ਭੀਜਾ ਹੇ ॥੧੭॥੧॥੩॥

Saṫsang mahaa sukʱ paa▫i▫aa ḋékʱ ḋarsan ih man bʱeejaa hé. ||17||1||3||

In the Society of the Saints, I have found great peace; gazing upon the Blessed Vision of the Lord’s Darshan, this mind is pleased and satisfied. ||17||1||3||

Maaroo, Fifth Mehl, Solhas:

ੴ ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਪ੍ਰਸਾਦਿ ॥

Ik▫oaᴺkaar saṫgur parsaaḋ.

One Universal Creator God. By The Grace Of The True Guru:

ਗੁਰੁ ਗੋਪਾਲੁ ਗੁਰੁ ਗੋਵਿੰਦਾ ॥

Gur gopaal gur govinḋaa.

The Guru is the Lord of the World, the Guru is the Master of the Universe.

ਗੁਰੁ ਦਇਆਲੁ ਸਦਾ ਬਖਸਿੰਦਾ ॥

Gur ḋa▫i▫aal saḋaa bakʱsinḋaa.

The Guru is merciful, and always forgiving.

ਗੁਰੁ ਸਾਸਤ ਸਿਮ੍ਰਿਤਿ ਖਟੁ ਕਰਮਾ ਗੁਰੁ ਪਵਿਤ੍ਰੁ ਅਸਥਾਨਾ ਹੇ ॥੧॥

Gur saasaṫ simriṫ kʱat karmaa gur paviṫar asṫʱaanaa hé. ||1||

The Guru is the Shastras, the Smritis and the six rituals. The Guru is the Holy Shrine. ||1||

ਗੁਰੁ ਸਿਮਰਤ ਸਭਿ ਕਿਲਵਿਖ ਨਾਸਹਿ ॥

Gur simraṫ sabʱ kilvikʱ naasėh.

Meditating in remembrance of the Guru, all the sins are erased.
