880 ੴ ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਪ੍ਰਸਾਦਿ ॥ Ik▫oaⁿkaar saṫgur parsaaḋ. One Universal Creator God. By The Grace Of The True Guru: ਰਾਮਕਲੀ ਮਹਲਾ ੩ ਘਰੁ ੧ ॥ Raamkalee mėhlaa 3 gʰar 1. Raamkalee, Third Mehl, First House: ਸਤਜੁਗਿ ਸਚੁ ਕਹੈ ਸਭੁ ਕੋਈ ॥ Saṫjug sach kahæ sabʰ ko▫ee. In the Golden Age of Sat Yuga, everyone spoke the Truth. ਘਰਿ ਘਰਿ ਭਗਤਿ ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਹੋਈ ॥ Gʰar gʰar bʰagaṫ gurmukʰ ho▫ee. In each and every home, devotional worship was performed by the people, according to the Guru’s Teachings. ਸਤਜੁਗਿ ਧਰਮੁ ਪੈਰ ਹੈ ਚਾਰਿ ॥ Saṫjug ḋʰaram pær hæ chaar. In that Golden Age, Dharma had four feet. ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਬੂਝੈ ਕੋ ਬੀਚਾਰਿ ॥੧॥ Gurmukʰ boojʰæ ko beechaar. ||1|| How rare are those people who, as Gurmukh, contemplate this and understand. ||1|| ਜੁਗ ਚਾਰੇ ਨਾਮਿ ਵਡਿਆਈ ਹੋਈ ॥ Jug chaaré naam vadi▫aa▫ee ho▫ee. In all four ages, the Naam, the Name of the Lord, is glory and greatness. ਜਿ ਨਾਮਿ ਲਾਗੈ ਸੋ ਮੁਕਤਿ ਹੋਵੈ ਗੁਰ ਬਿਨੁ ਨਾਮੁ ਨ ਪਾਵੈ ਕੋਈ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥ Jė naam laagæ so mukaṫ hovæ gur bin naam na paavæ ko▫ee. ||1|| rahaa▫o. One who holds tight to the Naam is liberated; without the Guru, no one obtains the Naam. ||1||Pause|| ਤ੍ਰੇਤੈ ਇਕ ਕਲ ਕੀਨੀ ਦੂਰਿ ॥ Ṫaréṫæ ik kal keenee ḋoor. In the Silver Age of Traytaa Yuga, one leg was removed. ਪਾਖੰਡੁ ਵਰਤਿਆ ਹਰਿ ਜਾਣਨਿ ਦੂਰਿ ॥ Pakʰand varṫi▫aa har jaaṇan ḋoor. Hypocrisy became prevalent, and people thought that the Lord was far away. ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਬੂਝੈ ਸੋਝੀ ਹੋਈ ॥ Gurmukʰ boojʰæ sojʰee ho▫ee. The Gurmukhs still understood and realized; ਅੰਤਰਿ ਨਾਮੁ ਵਸੈ ਸੁਖੁ ਹੋਈ ॥੨॥ Anṫar naam vasæ sukʰ ho▫ee. ||2|| the Naam abided deep within them, and they were at peace. ||2|| ਦੁਆਪੁਰਿ ਦੂਜੈ ਦੁਬਿਧਾ ਹੋਇ ॥ Ḋu▫aapur ḋoojæ ḋubiḋʰaa ho▫é. In the Brass Age of Dwaapur Yuga, duality and double-mindedness arose. ਭਰਮਿ ਭੁਲਾਨੇ ਜਾਣਹਿ ਦੋਇ ॥ Bʰaram bʰulaané jaaṇėh ḋo▫é. Deluded by doubt, they knew duality. ਦੁਆਪੁਰਿ ਧਰਮਿ ਦੁਇ ਪੈਰ ਰਖਾਏ ॥ Ḋu▫aapur ḋʰaram ḋu▫é pær rakʰaa▫é. In this Brass Age, Dharma was left with only two feet. ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਹੋਵੈ ਤ ਨਾਮੁ ਦ੍ਰਿੜਾਏ ॥੩॥ Gurmukʰ hovæ ṫa naam driṛ▫aa▫é. ||3|| Those who became Gurmukh implanted the Naam deep within. ||3|| ਕਲਜੁਗਿ ਧਰਮ ਕਲਾ ਇਕ ਰਹਾਏ ॥ Kaljug ḋʰaram kalaa ik rahaa▫é. In the Iron Age of Kali Yuga, Dharma was left with only one power. ਇਕ ਪੈਰਿ ਚਲੈ ਮਾਇਆ ਮੋਹੁ ਵਧਾਏ ॥ Ik pær chalæ maa▫i▫aa moh vaḋʰaa▫é. It walks on just one foot; love and emotional attachment to Maya have increased. ਮਾਇਆ ਮੋਹੁ ਅਤਿ ਗੁਬਾਰੁ ॥ Maa▫i▫aa moh aṫ gubaar. Love and emotional attachment to Maya bring total darkness. ਸਤਗੁਰੁ ਭੇਟੈ ਨਾਮਿ ਉਧਾਰੁ ॥੪॥ Saṫgur bʰétæ naam uḋʰaar. ||4|| If someone meets the True Guru, he is saved, through the Naam, the Name of the Lord. ||4|| ਸਭ ਜੁਗ ਮਹਿ ਸਾਚਾ ਏਕੋ ਸੋਈ ॥ Sabʰ jug mėh saachaa éko so▫ee. Throughout the ages, there is only the One True Lord. ਸਭ ਮਹਿ ਸਚੁ ਦੂਜਾ ਨਹੀ ਕੋਈ ॥ Sabʰ mėh sach ḋoojaa nahee ko▫ee. Among all, is the True Lord; there is no other at all. ਸਾਚੀ ਕੀਰਤਿ ਸਚੁ ਸੁਖੁ ਹੋਈ ॥ Saachee keeraṫ sach sukʰ ho▫ee. Praising the True Lord, true peace is attained. ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਨਾਮੁ ਵਖਾਣੈ ਕੋਈ ॥੫॥ Gurmukʰ naam vakʰaaṇæ ko▫ee. ||5|| How rare are those who as Gurmukh, chant the Naam. ||5|| ਸਭ ਜੁਗ ਮਹਿ ਨਾਮੁ ਊਤਮੁ ਹੋਈ ॥ Sabʰ jug mėh naam ooṫam ho▫ee. Throughout all the ages, the Naam is the ultimate, the most sublime. ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਵਿਰਲਾ ਬੂਝੈ ਕੋਈ ॥ Gurmukʰ virlaa boojʰæ ko▫ee. How rare are those who as Gurmukh, understand this. ਹਰਿ ਨਾਮੁ ਧਿਆਏ ਭਗਤੁ ਜਨੁ ਸੋਈ ॥ Har naam ḋʰi▫aa▫é bʰagaṫ jan so▫ee. One who meditates on the Lord’s Name is a humble devotee. ਨਾਨਕ ਜੁਗਿ ਜੁਗਿ ਨਾਮਿ ਵਡਿਆਈ ਹੋਈ ॥੬॥੧॥ Naanak jug jug naam vadi▫aa▫ee ho▫ee. ||6||1|| O Nanak! In each and every age, the Naam is glory and greatness. ||6||1|| ਰਾਮਕਲੀ ਮਹਲਾ ੪ ਘਰੁ ੧ Raamkalee mėhlaa 4 gʰar 1 Raamkalee, Fourth Mehl, First House: ੴ ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਪ੍ਰਸਾਦਿ ॥ Ik▫oaⁿkaar saṫgur parsaaḋ. One Universal Creator God. By The Grace Of The True Guru: ਜੇ ਵਡ ਭਾਗ ਹੋਵਹਿ ਵਡਭਾਗੀ ਤਾ ਹਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਨਾਮੁ ਧਿਆਵੈ ॥ Jé vad bʰaag hovėh vadbʰaagee ṫaa har har naam ḋʰi▫aavæ. If someone is very fortunate, and is blessed with great high destiny, then he meditates on the Name of the Lord, Har, Har. ਨਾਮੁ ਜਪਤ ਨਾਮੇ ਸੁਖੁ ਪਾਵੈ ਹਰਿ ਨਾਮੇ ਨਾਮਿ ਸਮਾਵੈ ॥੧॥ Naam japaṫ naamé sukʰ paavæ har naamé naam samaavæ. ||1|| Chanting the Naam, the Name of the Lord, he finds peace, and merges in the Naam. ||1|| ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਭਗਤਿ ਕਰਹੁ ਸਦ ਪ੍ਰਾਣੀ ॥ Gurmukʰ bʰagaṫ karahu saḋ paraaṇee. O mortal, as Gurmukh, worship the Lord in devotion forever. ਹਿਰਦੈ ਪ੍ਰਗਾਸੁ ਹੋਵੈ ਲਿਵ ਲਾਗੈ ਗੁਰਮਤਿ ਹਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਨਾਮਿ ਸਮਾਣੀ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥ Hirḋæ pargaas hovæ liv laagæ gurmaṫ har har naam samaaṇee. ||1|| rahaa▫o. Your heart shall be illuminated; through the Guru’s Teachings, lovingly attune yourself to the Lord. You shall merge in the Name of the Lord, Har, Har. ||1||Pause|| ਹੀਰਾ ਰਤਨ ਜਵੇਹਰ ਮਾਣਕ ਬਹੁ ਸਾਗਰ ਭਰਪੂਰੁ ਕੀਆ ॥ Heeraa raṫan javéhar maaṇak baho saagar bʰarpoor kee▫aa. The Great Giver is filled with diamonds, emeralds, rubies and pearls; ਜਿਸੁ ਵਡ ਭਾਗੁ ਹੋਵੈ ਵਡ ਮਸਤਕਿ ਤਿਨਿ ਗੁਰਮਤਿ ਕਢਿ ਕਢਿ ਲੀਆ ॥੨॥ Jis vad bʰaag hovæ vad masṫak ṫin gurmaṫ kadʰ kadʰ lee▫aa. ||2|| one who has good fortune and great destiny inscribed upon his forehead, digs them out, by following the Guru’s Teachings. ||2|| ਰਤਨੁ ਜਵੇਹਰੁ ਲਾਲੁ ਹਰਿ ਨਾਮਾ ਗੁਰਿ ਕਾਢਿ ਤਲੀ ਦਿਖਲਾਇਆ ॥ Raṫan javéhar laal har naamaa gur kaadʰ ṫalee ḋikʰlaa▫i▫aa. The Lord’s Name is the jewel, the emerald, the ruby; digging it out, the Guru has placed it in your palm. ਭਾਗਹੀਣ ਮਨਮੁਖਿ ਨਹੀ ਲੀਆ ਤ੍ਰਿਣ ਓਲੈ ਲਾਖੁ ਛਪਾਇਆ ॥੩॥ Bʰaagheeṇ manmukʰ nahee lee▫aa ṫariṇ olæ laakʰ chʰapaa▫i▫aa. ||3|| The unfortunate, self-willed Manmukh does not obtain it; this priceless jewel remains hidden behind a curtain of straw. ||3|| ਮਸਤਕਿ ਭਾਗੁ ਹੋਵੈ ਧੁਰਿ ਲਿਖਿਆ ਤਾ ਸਤਗੁਰੁ ਸੇਵਾ ਲਾਏ ॥ Masṫak bʰaag hovæ ḋʰur likʰi▫aa ṫaa saṫgur sévaa laa▫é. If such preordained destiny is written upon one’s forehead, then the True Guru enjoins him to serve Him. ਨਾਨਕ ਰਤਨ ਜਵੇਹਰ ਪਾਵੈ ਧਨੁ ਧਨੁ ਗੁਰਮਤਿ ਹਰਿ ਪਾਏ ॥੪॥੧॥ Naanak raṫan javéhar paavæ ḋʰan ḋʰan gurmaṫ har paa▫é. ||4||1|| O Nanak! Then he obtains the jewel, the gem; blessed, blessed is that one who follows the Guru’s Teachings, and finds the Lord. ||4||1|| ਰਾਮਕਲੀ ਮਹਲਾ ੪ ॥ Raamkalee mėhlaa 4. Raamkalee, Fourth Mehl: ਰਾਮ ਜਨਾ ਮਿਲਿ ਭਇਆ ਅਨੰਦਾ ਹਰਿ ਨੀਕੀ ਕਥਾ ਸੁਨਾਇ ॥ Raam janaa mil bʰa▫i▫aa ananḋaa har neekee kaṫʰaa sunaa▫é. Meeting with the humble servants of the Lord, I am in ecstasy; they preach the sublime sermon of the Lord. ਦੁਰਮਤਿ ਮੈਲੁ ਗਈ ਸਭ ਨੀਕਲਿ ਸਤਸੰਗਤਿ ਮਿਲਿ ਬੁਧਿ ਪਾਇ ॥੧॥ Ḋurmaṫ mæl ga▫ee sabʰ neekal saṫsangaṫ mil buḋʰ paa▫é. ||1|| The filth of evil-mindedness is totally washed away; joining the Sat Sangat, the True Congregation, one is blessed with understanding. ||1|| |
