aaNDhee paachhay jo jal barkhai tihi tayraa jan bheenaaN.
Your servant is drenched with the rain that has fallen in this storm.

kih kbIr min BieAw pRgwsw audY Bwnu jb cInw ]2]43] (332-1)
kahi kabeer man bha-i-aa pargaasaa udai bhaan jab cheenaa. ||2||43||
Says Kabeer, my mind became enlightened, when I saw the sun rise. ||2||43||

har jas suneh na har gun gaavahi.
They do not listen to the Lord's Praises, and they do not sing the Lord's Glories,

bwqn hI Asmwnu igrwvih ]1] (332-4)
baatan hee asmaan giraaveh. ||1||
but they try to bring down the sky with their talk. ||1||

AYsy logn isau ikAw khIAY ] (332-4)
aisay logan si-o ki-aa kahee-ai.
What can anyone say to such people?

jo pRB kIey Bgiq qy bwhj iqn qy sdw frwny rhIAY ]1] rhwau ] (332-5)
jo parabh kee-ay bhagat tay baahaj tin tay sadaa daraanay rahee-ai. ||1|| rahaa-o.
You should always be careful around those whom God has excluded from His devotional worship. ||1||Pause||

Awip n dyih curU Bir pwnI ] (332-5)
aap na deh churoo bhar paanee.
They do not offer even a handful of water,

iqh inMdih ijh gMgw AwnI ]2] (332-6)
tih nindeh jih gangaa aanee. ||2||
while they slander the one who brought forth the Ganges. ||2||

bYTq auTq kuitlqw cwlih ] (332-6)
baithat uthat kutiltaa chaaleh.
Sitting down or standing up, their ways are crooked and evil.

Awpu gey Aaurn hU Gwlih ]3] (332-6)
aap ga-ay a-uran hoo ghaaleh. ||3||
They ruin themselves, and then they ruin others. ||3||

Cwif kucrcw Awn n jwnih ] (332-7)
chhaad kuchrachaa aan na jaaneh.
They know nothing except evil talk.

bRhmw hU ko kihE n mwnih ]4] (332-7)
barahmaa hoo ko kahi-o na maaneh. ||4||
They would not even obey Brahma's orders. ||4||

Awpu gey Aaurn hU Kovih ] (332-7)
aap ga-ay a-uran hoo khoveh.
They themselves are lost, and they mislead others as well.

Awig lgwie mMdr mY sovih ]5] (332-8)
aag lagaa-ay mandar mai soveh. ||5||
They set their own temple on fire, and then they fall asleep within it. ||5||

Avrn hsq Awp hih kWny ] (332-8)
avran hasat aap heh kaaNnay.
They laugh at others, while they themselves are one-eyed.

tin ka-o daykh kabeer lajaanay. ||6||1||44||
Seeing them, Kabeer is embarrassed. ||6||1||44||

jeevat pitar na maanai ko-oo moo-ayN siraaDh karaahee.
He does not honor his ancestors while they are alive, but he holds feasts in their honor after they have died.

ipqr BI bpury khu ikau pwvih kaUAw kUkr KwhI ]1] (332-11)
pitar bhee bapuray kaho ki-o paavahi ka-oo-aa kookar khaahee. ||1||
Tell me, how can his poor ancestors receive what the crows and the dogs have eaten up? ||1||

mo kau kuslu bqwvhu koeI ] (332-12)
mo ka-o kusal bataavhu ko-ee.
If only someone would tell me what real happiness is!

kuslu kuslu krqy jgu ibnsY kuslu BI kYsy hoeI ]1] rhwau ] (332-12)
kusal kusal kartay jag binsai kusal bhee kaisay ho-ee. ||1|| rahaa-o.
Speaking of happiness and joy, the world is perishing. How can happiness be found? ||1||Pause||

mwtI ky kir dyvI dyvw iqsu AwgY jIau dyhI ] (332-13)
maatee kay kar dayvee dayvaa tis aagai jee-o dayhee.
Making gods and goddesses out of clay, people sacrifice living beings to them.

AYsy ipqr qumwry khIAih Awpn kihAw n lyhI ]2] (332-13)
aisay pitar tumaaray kahee-ahi aapan kahi-aa na layhee. ||2||
Such are your dead ancestors, who cannot ask for what they want. ||2||

srjIau kwtih inrjIau pUjih AMq kwl kau BwrI ] (332-14)
sarjee-o kaateh nirjee-o poojeh ant kaal ka-o bhaaree.
You murder living beings and worship lifeless things; at your very last moment, you shall suffer in terrible pain.

rwm nwm kI giq nhI jwnI BY fUby sMswrI ]3] (332-14)
raam naam kee gat nahee jaanee bhai doobay sansaaree. ||3||
You do not know the value of the Lord's Name; you shall drown in the terrifying world-ocean. ||3||

dyvI dyvw pUjih folih pwrbRhmu nhI jwnw ] (332-15)
dayvee dayvaa poojeh doleh paarbarahm nahee jaanaa.
You worship gods and goddesses, but you do not know the Supreme Lord God.

khq kbIr Akulu nhI cyiqAw ibiKAw isau lptwnw ]4]1]45] (332-15)
kahat kabeer akul nahee chayti-aa bikhi-aa si-o laptaanaa. ||4||1||45||
Says Kabeer, you have not remembered the Lord who has no ancestors; you are clinging to your corrupt ways. ||4||1||45||

jeevat marai marai fun jeevai aisay sunn samaa-i-aa.
One who remains dead while yet alive, will live even after death; thus he merges into the Primal Void of the Absolute Lord.

AMjn mwih inrMjin rhIAY bhuiV n Bvjil pwieAw ]1] (332-17)
anjan maahi niranjan rahee-ai bahurh na bhavjal paa-i-aa. ||1||
Remaining pure in the midst of impurity, he will never again fall into the terrifying world-ocean. ||1||

mayray raam aisaa kheer bilo-ee-ai.
O my Lord, this is the milk to be churned.

gurmiq mnUAw AsiQru rwKhu ien ibiD AMimRqu pIEeIAY ]1] rhwau ] (332-18)
gurmat manoo-aa asthir raakho in biDh amrit pee-o-ee-ai. ||1|| rahaa-o.
Through the Guru's Teachings, hold your mind steady and stable, and in this way, drink in the Ambrosial Nectar. ||1||Pause||

gur kai baan bajar kal chhaydee pargati-aa pad pargaasaa.
The Guru's arrow has pierced the hard core of this Dark Age of Kali Yuga, and the state of enlightenment has dawned.

sakat aDhayr jayvrhee bharam chookaa nihchal siv ghar baasaa. ||2||
In the darkness of Maya, I mistook the rope for the snake, but that is over, and now I dwell in the eternal home of the Lord. ||2||

iqin ibnu bwxY DnKu cFweIAY iehu jgu byiDAw BweI ] (332-19)
tin bin baanai Dhanakh chadhaa-ee-ai ih jag bayDhi-aa bhaa-ee.
Maya has drawn her bow without an arrow, and has pierced this world, O Siblings of Destiny.
