taa sohagan jaanee-ai gur sabad beechaaray. ||3||
Then she is known as the happy soul-bride, if she contemplates the Word of the Guru's Shabad. ||3||

ikrq kI bWDI sB iPrY dyKhu bIcwrI ] (334-1)
kirat kee baaNDhee sabh firai daykhhu beechaaree.
Bound by the actions she has committed, she wanders around - see this and understand.

eys no ikAw AwKIAY ikAw kry ivcwrI ]4] (334-2)
ays no ki-aa aakhee-ai ki-aa karay vichaaree. ||4||
What can we say to her? What can the poor soul-bride do? ||4||

BeI inrwsI auiT clI icq bMiD n DIrw ] (334-2)
bha-ee niraasee uth chalee chit banDh na Dheeraa.
Disappointed and hopeless, she gets up and departs. There is no support or encouragement in her consciousness.

hir kI crxI lwig rhu Bju srix kbIrw ]5]6]50] (334-3)
har kee charnee laag rahu bhaj saran kabeeraa. ||5||6||50||
So remain attached to the Lord's Lotus Feet, and hurry to His Sanctuary, Kabeer! ||5||6||50||

Gauree :

jogI khih jogu Bl mITw Avru n dUjw BweI ] (334-3)
jogee kaheh jog bhal meethaa avar na doojaa bhaa-ee.
The Yogi says that Yoga is good and sweet, and nothing else is, O Siblings of Destiny.

ruMifq muMifq eykY sbdI eyie khih isiD pweI ]1] (334-4)
rundit mundit aykai sabdee ay-ay kaheh siDh paa-ee. ||1||
Those who shave their heads, and those who amputate their limbs, and those who utter only a single word, all say that they have attained the spiritual perfection of the Siddhas. ||1||

hir ibnu Brim Bulwny AMDw ] (334-5)
har bin bharam bhulaanay anDhaa.
Without the Lord, the blind ones are deluded by doubt.

jw pih jwau Awpu Cutkwvin qy bwDy bhu PMDw ]1] rhwau ] (334-5)
jaa peh jaa-o aap chhutkaavan tay baaDhay baho fanDhaa. ||1|| rahaa-o.
And those, to whom I go to find release - they themselves are bound by all sorts of chains. ||1||Pause||

jh qy aupjI qhI smwnI ieh ibiD ibsrI qb hI ] (334-5)
jah tay upjee tahee samaanee ih biDh bisree tab hee.
The soul is re-absorbed into that from which it originated, when one leaves this path of errors.

pMifq guxI sUr hm dwqy eyih khih bf hm hI ]2] (334-6)
pandit gunee soor ham daatay ayhi kaheh bad ham hee. ||2||
The scholarly Pandits, the virtuous, the brave and the generous, all assert that they alone are great. ||2||

ijsih buJwey soeI bUJY ibnu bUJy ikau rhIAY ] (334-7)
jisahi bujhaa-ay so-ee boojhai bin boojhay ki-o rahee-ai.
He alone understands, whom the Lord inspires to understand. Without understanding, what can anyone do?

siqguru imlY AMDyrw cUkY ien ibiD mwxku lhIAY ]3] (334-7)
satgur milai anDhayraa chookai in biDh maanak lahee-ai. ||3||
Meeting the True Guru, the darkness is dispelled, and in this way, the jewel is obtained. ||3||

qij bwvy dwhny ibkwrw hir pdu idRVu kir rhIAY ] (334-8)
taj baavay daahnay bikaaraa har pad darirh kar rahee-ai.
Give up the evil actions of your left and right hands, and grasp hold of the Feet of the Lord.

khu kbIr gUMgY guVu KwieAw pUCy qy ikAw khIAY ]4]7]51] (334-8)
kaho kabeer gooNgai gurh khaa-i-aa poochhay tay ki-aa kahee-ai. ||4||7||51||
Says Kabeer, the mute has tasted the molasses, but what can he say about it if he is asked? ||4||7||51||

jah kachh ahaa tahaa kichh naahee panch tat tah naahee.
Where something existed, now there is nothing. The five elements are no longer there.

ieVw ipMgulw suKmn bMdy ey Avgn kq jwhI ]1] (334-11)
irhaa pingulaa sukhman banday ay avgan kat jaahee. ||1||
The Ida, the Pingala and the Sushmanaa - O human being, how can the breaths through these be counted now? ||1||

qwgw qUtw ggnu ibnis gieAw qyrw bolqu khw smweI ] (334-12)
taagaa tootaa gagan binas ga-i-aa tayraa bolat kahaa samaa-ee.
The string has been broken, and the Sky of the Tenth Gate has been destroyed. Where has your speech gone?

eyh sMsw mo kau Anidnu ibAwpY mo kau ko n khY smJweI ]1] rhwau ] (334-12)
ayh sansaa mo ka-o an-din bi-aapai mo ka-o ko na kahai samjhaa-ee. ||1|| rahaa-o.
This cynicism afflicts me, night and day; who can explain this to me and help me understand? ||1||Pause||

jh brBMfu ipMfu qh nwhI rcnhwru qh nwhI ] (334-13)
jah barbhand pind tah naahee rachanhaar tah naahee.
Where the world is - the body is not there; the mind is not there either.

joVnhwro sdw AqIqw ieh khIAY iksu mwhI ]2] (334-13)
jorhanhaaro sadaa ateetaa ih kahee-ai kis maahee. ||2||
The Joiner is forever unattached; now, within whom is the soul said to be contained? ||2||

joVI juVY n qoVI qUtY jb lgu hoie ibnwsI ] (334-14)
jorhee jurhai na torhee tootai jab lag ho-ay binaasee.
By joining the elements, people cannot join them, and by breaking, they cannot be broken, until the body perishes.

kw ko Twkuru kw ko syvku ko kwhU kY jwsI ]3] (334-14)
kaa ko thaakur kaa ko sayvak ko kaahoo kai jaasee. ||3||
Of whom is the soul the master, and of whom is it the servant? Where, and to whom does it go? ||3||

khu kbIr ilv lwig rhI hY jhw bsy idn rwqI ] (334-15)
kaho kabeer liv laag rahee hai jahaa basay din raatee.
Says Kabeer, I have lovingly focused my attention on that place where the Lord dwells, day and night.

u-aa kaa maram ohee par jaanai oh ta-o sadaa abhinaasee. ||4||1||52||
Only He Himself truly knows the secrets of His mystery; He is eternal and indestructible. ||4||1||52||

suriq isimRiq duie kMnI muMdw primiq bwhir iKMQw ] (334-16)
surat simrit du-ay kannee munda parmit baahar khinthaa.
Let contemplation and intuitive meditation be your two ear-rings, and true wisdom your patched overcoat.

suMn guPw mih Awsxu bYsxu klp ibbrijq pMQw ]1] (334-17)
sunn gufaa meh aasan baisan kalap bibarjit panthaa. ||1||
In the cave of silence, dwell in your Yogic posture; let the subjugation of desire be your spiritual path. ||1||

myry rwjn mY bYrwgI jogI ] (334-17)
mayray raajan mai bairaagee jogee.
O my King, I am a Yogi, a hermit, a renunciate.

mrq n sog ibEgI ]1] rhwau ] (334-18)
marat na sog bi-ogee. ||1|| rahaa-o.
I do not die or suffer pain or separation. ||1||Pause||

khand barahmand meh sinyee mayraa batoo-aa sabh jag bhasmaaDhaaree.
The solar systems and galaxies are my horn; the whole world is the bag to carry my ashes.

qwVI lwgI iqRplu pltIAY CUtY hoie pswrI ]2] (334-19)
taarhee laagee taripal paltee-ai chhootai ho-ay pasaaree. ||2||
Eliminating the three qualities and finding release from this world is my deep meditation. ||2||

mnu pvnu duie qUMbw krI hY jug jug swrd swjI ] (334-19)
man pavan du-ay toombaa karee hai jug jug saarad saajee.
My mind and breath are the two gourds of my fiddle, and the Lord of all the ages is its frame.
