One who kills this is absorbed in the Naam. jo iesu mwry iqs kI iqRsnw buJY ] (238-1)jo is maaray tis kee tarisnaa bujhai. One who kills this has his desires quenched. jo iesu mwry su drgh isJY ]2] (238-2)jo is maaray so dargeh sijhai. ||2|| One who kills this is approved in the Court of the Lord. ||2|| jo iesu mwry so DnvMqw ] (238-2)jo is maaray so Dhanvantaa. One who kills this is wealthy and prosperous. jo iesu mwry so piqvMqw ] (238-2)jo is maaray so pativantaa. One who kills this is honorable. jo iesu mwry soeI jqI ] (238-2)jo is maaray so-ee jatee. One who kills this is very fortunate. jo iesu mwry su Anidnu jwgw ]4] (238-4)jo is maaray so an-din jaagaa. ||4|| One who kills this remains awake and aware, night and day. ||4|| jo iesu mwry su jIvn mukqw ] (238-4)jo is maaray so jeevan muktaa. One who kills this is Jivan Mukta, liberated while yet alive. jo iesu mwry iqs kI inrml jugqw ] (238-5)jo is maaray tis kee nirmal jugtaa. One who kills this lives a pure lifestyle. jo iesu mwry soeI suigAwnI ] (238-5)jo is maaray so-ee sugi-aanee. Without killing this, one does not obtain spiritual wisdom. iesu mwrI ibnu jUiT n DoeI ] (238-7)is maaree bin jooth na Dho-ee. Without killing this, one's impurity is not washed off. iesu mwrI ibnu sBu ikCu mYlw ] (238-8)is maaree bin sabh kichh mailaa. Hearing the Naam, the Name of the Lord, is equal to millions of cleansing baths. koit pUjw jw kY hY iDAwn ] (238-13)kot poojaa jaa kai hai Dhi-aan. Meditating on it is equal to millions of worship ceremonies. koit puMn suix hir kI bwxI ] (238-14)kot punn sun har kee banee. Hearing the Word of the Lord's Bani is equal to giving millions in alms. koit Plw gur qy ibiD jwxI ]3] (238-14)kot falaa gur tay biDh jaanee. ||3|| To know the way, through the Guru, is equal to millions of rewards. ||3|| mn Apuny mih iPir iPir cyq ] (238-14)man apunay meh fir fir chayt. Within your mind, over and over again, think of Him, ibnis jwih mwieAw ky hyq ] (238-15)binas jaahi maa-i-aa kay hayt. and your love of Maya shall depart. hir AibnwsI qumrY sMig ] (238-15)har abhinaasee tumrai sang. The Imperishable Lord is always with you. mn myry rcu rwm kY rMig ]4] (238-15)man mayray rach raam kai rang. ||4|| O my mind, immerse yourself in the Love of the Lord. ||4|| jw kY kwim auqrY sB BUK ] (238-16)jaa kai kaam utrai sabh bhookh. Working for Him, all hunger departs. jw kY kwim n johih dUq ] (238-16)jaa kai kaam na joheh doot. Working for Him, the Messenger of Death will not be watching you. jw kY kwim qyrw vf gmru ] (238-16)jaa kai kaam tayraa vad gamar. Working for Him, you shall obtain glorious greatness. jw kY kwim hovih qUM Amru ]5] (238-16)jaa kai kaam hoveh tooN amar. ||5|| Working for Him, you shall become immortal. ||5|| jw ky cwkr kau nhI fwn ] (238-17)jaa kay chaakar ka-o nahee daan. His servant does not suffer punishment. jw ky cwkr kau nhI bwn ] (238-17)jaa kay chaakar ka-o nahee baan. His servant suffers no loss. jw kY dPqir puCY n lyKw ] (238-17)jaa kai daftar puchhai na laykhaa. In His Court, His servant does not have to answer for his account. qw kI cwkrI krhu ibsyKw ]6] (238-18)taa kee chaakree karahu bisaykhaa. ||6|| So serve Him with distinction. ||6|| jw kY aUn nwhI kwhU bwq ] (238-18)jaa kai oon naahee kaahoo baat. He is not lacking in anything. eykih Awip Anykih Bwiq ] (238-18)aykeh aap anaykeh bhaat. He Himself is One, although He appears in so many forms. jw kI idRsit hoie sdw inhwl ] (238-19)jaa kee darisat ho-ay sadaa nihaal. By His Glance of Grace, you shall be happy forever. mn myry kir qw kI Gwl ]7] (238-19)man mayray kar taa kee ghaal. ||7|| So work for Him, O my mind. ||7|| nw ko cquru nwhI ko mUVw ] (238-19)naa ko chatur naahee ko moorhaa. No one is clever, and no one is foolish. nw ko hIxu nwhI ko sUrw ] (238-19)naa ko heen naahee ko sooraa. No one is weak, and no one is a hero. |
